Bishop Luers High School, along with the FW TinCaps and the City of Fort Wayne, celebrated 2008 Bishop Luers Grad Kevin Kiermaier. Mayor Sharon Tucker declared July 11, 2025, to be Kevin Kiermaier Day! He played for the Tampa Bay Rays, Toronto Blue Jays and ended his MLB career with the Los Angeles Dodgers and 2024 World Series Champion! Kevin was also named a Platinum Glove winner once and a Gold Glove winner 4 times throughout his MLB career.
